Contact Networks Opens London Business
Center
Reflects Company’s Expansion as Critical Component in
Booming Wireless Market
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., July 25, 2000 – Contact Networks,
the developer of wireless and Internet-enabled contact-management tools
with integrated communication and commerce services, has announced the
opening of a London office to support the needs of European wireless
infrastructure providers, carriers and portals.
The new business center augments existing operations in Redwood Shores, Calif., and Ramat-Gan, Israel. The company's expansion acknowledges the burgeoning wireless-communications industry in Europe and user demands for advanced address book services delivered through a variety of access points, including WAP (wireless application protocol).
Contact Networks' London activities will focus on business development and relationship management with other wireless infrastructure and platforms companies, handset manufacturers, carriers, content providers and European portals. Eduardo de Castro, director of business development, who previously had been with Anderson Consulting, heads the operation. De Castro will be responsible for expanding the company's European staff.
